Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape
Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape saves time and maintains fine lines for precision auto body paint striping. This specially-engineered 1-inch wide tape is pre-slit – auto body technicians simply apply the tape and easily pull out up to eight 1/16-inch wide strips to expose paintable areas. A film backing won’t allow paint to soak through, and the adhesive prevents bleed without leaving residue.
Fine Lines Without Getting Frazzled
Auto body professionals no longer need to spend extra shop time masking for detailed paint striping jobs. Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape comes pre-slit into eight precise 1/16-inch wide strips – technicians simply apply the 1-inch wide tape and pull off one or more strips to expose precise paintable areas. The polypropylene film tape is tough, flexible and resists solvents, even beneath multiple coats of paint. A strong adhesive won’t allow leave residue when the tape is removed, which means even very narrow paintable areas are easily exposed and ready for detailed auto striping. Yet the adhesive is also very strong and resists edge bleed for sharp paint lines. Each roll of Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape is 1 x 550-inch.
Bringing Science to the Art of Auto Body Striping
Pre-slit tape that doesn’t allow seepage is another way 3M applies science to make life easier for auto body technicians. Instead of spending time and money fashioning detailed masking to create fine paint lines, auto body professionals can simply apply Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape – and easily pull off a precision striped paint job.
