How do I change the discs on my mini sander?
Q1: Is this sander durable enough for professional daily use?
A1: This is a hobbyist / light professional grade mini sander. It works great for domestic use, DIY projects, spot repairs, and detail work. Not recommended for intensive professional use (more than 8 hours a day, every day). We recommend sanding continuously for 30 minutes, then taking a short break to rest your hands. When working continuously, ensure the air inlet remains clean; if the environment is extremely dusty, we recommend connecting an air dryer and a dual-filter system. Apply a few drops of specialised pneumatic oil to the air inlet every 3 hours.
Q2: Is this a polisher/buffer or a sander? Can I use it for polishing car paint?
A2: This is a mini random orbital sander designed primarily for sanding, finishing, and detail work. While it can be used for polishing with foam pads (buffer kit), it is NOT a full-size rotary buffer. The orbit size is compact — it works best for small-area touch-ups, spot sanding, and detail work, not for full-car paint correction.
Q3: Why won’t my sander spin after connecting the air supply, or it only spins after being tapped?
Before using any pneumatic tool for the first time, apply 3 to 5 drops of specialised pneumatic tool oil to the air inlet; once connected to the air supply, set the pressure regulator to approximately 50 PSI and allow the tool to run idle for 5 sec to lubricate the internal rotor assembly and ensure proper operation. Gradually increase the pressure to 60–70 PSI and run the tool idle for a short time; finally, ensure that the pressure gauge stabilises at 90 PSI when working. Do not run the tool idle at 90 PSI; if it stops as soon as you start working, this indicates that the air compressor’s flow rate (CFM) is insufficient.
Q4: Is this pneumatic sander/polisher electric-powered or air compressor-powered?
A4: This is a pneumatic tool that requires connection to an air compressor to operate. It runs entirely on compressed air with no power cord included. Before purchasing, please confirm you already own or plan to buy an air compressor that delivers sufficient airflow (minimum 4 CFM).
Important Reminder: Many customers mistakenly take it for an electric power tool, so please distinguish clearly. If your air compressor has insufficient airflow (such as a compact model with only a 3-gallon air tank), the tool may fail to run continuously or suffer weak output power.
